Russian fighter Alexander Volkov playfully expressed bewilderment at his own winning streak following a unanimous decision victory over Dominican Waldo Cortes-Acosta at UFC 328 in Newark, New Jersey.

“Oh man! Will I ever stop winning? I don’t get it. What’s wrong?” Volkov said, as quoted by UFC Eurasia.
The 37-year-old improved his MMA record to 40 wins and 11 losses with the victory. Before the bout, he was ranked second in the UFC heavyweight division, with Englishman Tom Aspinall holding the championship belt.
This marked Volkov’s second consecutive win. His last defeat came on December 8, 2024, when he lost a split decision (28:29, 28:29, 29:28) to Frenchman Ciryl Gane at UFC 310 in Paradise, Nevada. Many experts criticized that outcome, claiming Volkov was “robbed,” and UFC President Dana White also disagreed with the judges’ decision during the post-fight press conference.
