The women’s volleyball team Victorina Himeji of the SV League announced on its official website the departure of five players, including Japanese national team member Airi Miyabe (27), along with three staff members.
Miyabe, who was also selected for the national team this season, joined Victorina Himeji in the 2022-23 season. Known for her extensive playing experience both domestically and internationally, she supported the team as an all-rounder with high offensive power and stable defensive skills. This season, she also took on the opposite position, proving herself as a key player with reliable scoring ability and overwhelming presence in crucial moments. Last year, she contributed significantly to the team’s first Empress’s Cup victory.

“I have decided to leave Victorina Himeji after this season. As a professional volleyball player over the past four years, I am who I am today thanks to the support of the fans and everyone in the team, through both good times and bad. Thank you so much.
