Adam Scott, the star of the hit series *Severance*, has shared an update on the release schedule for its third season. According to the actor, the production team is determined to significantly cut down the waiting period between installments. The second season premiered in January 2025, nearly three years after the first season’s debut in February 2022.
“We always try to reduce the time between seasons, but it’s more important to do it well than to do it fast. We definitely plan to release it much sooner than last time—three years is just too long,” Scott said.
The second season of *Severance* became the most-watched show in Apple TV+ history, surpassing *Ted Lasso*. At the 2025 Emmy Awards, the series earned 27 nominations and took home eight trophies.
